Artist Pashk Pervathi
On February 27, 1958, Pashk Pervathi was born in the village of Manati near the city of Lezhe. He has since developed his childhood passion for painting. After completing courses at the Art Academy in Tirana, he worked as an art teacher and painted landscapes. At 21, he exhibited his painting Autumn in Manati, along with the most famous painters in Albania. In 1983, he opened his first personal exhibition. He studied monumental painting at the Arts Academy in Tirana from 1986 until 1990, meanwhile continuing his landscape painting and participating in several national exhibits. Since 1990, he has attended several national and international events and was named the director of the Lezha Art Gallery and member of the National Council for Radio and Television 1999 - 2004. Pervathi has sold 620 paintings 130 of them to foreign collectors including his original landscape, Autumn in Manati. It is now display at the Museum of Art and History of the city of Ceuta in Spain. In 2002, he created all the paintings of the Church of Saint Paul, in Detroit, Michigan U.S.A.. At December 6, 2006, the President of Albania, Mr. Alfred Moisiu, decorates Mr. Pashk Pervathi with the Golden order Naim Frasheri. He is the winner of the first edition of the price Abdurrahim Buza 2010. Is the winner of CULT prize, granted by the CULT Academy as the visual artist of the year 2011 Now he lives and works in Lezha.
