Cathy’s personal interest in equestrian competitions led to her passion in capturing the intense beauty of the American Quarter horse. As a little girl she would sketch page after page of horses in between riding her horse at White Rock Stables in Dallas, TX.
When viewing her paintings, it is easy to see the deep connection she has to nature and her true knowledge of animal anatomy.
A third generation Texas artist, Cathy contributes her creative inspiration to her family but is constantly fine tuning her techniques by studying under artists at The Fredericksburg Art Schooland The Fechin Art School in Taos.
There is a considerable distinction between Cathy’s traditional and modern styles that will have you asking yourself…“Is this two completely different artist?”
