Patti Gordon was raised in Billings, Montana, the daughter of a dry-land wheat farmer. Patti’s days on her family’s farm have been the catalyst for her love of natural landscapes. Her husband’s career in the U.S. Air Force gave her the opportunity to travel and enjoy many beautiful scenes around the world. Patti’s inspiration comes from her observations of the natural environment as well as pictures. She began painting as a teenager and has developed her skills through the years by taking college classes, workshops, and tutoring under other skilled artists. Patti attended Montana State University and graduated from California State University of Los Angeles with a B.A. in English. She continued to explore her real interest in art by painting in her spare time.
In Patti’s words, “ I have been learning through experience” ever since. The artist’s work reflects realism and mood that often gives the viewer a sense of calm and familiarity to the subject. Patti’s original oil paintings are in private collections across the United States and around the world.
